Needs patience and adaptability, and a lot of indurision for this type of career. These qualities are really needed since the custom is what really matters.

Have to have a high school diplomas and go to college, and two years and a half for years of a aperats program, then take the state board test. These things are required to enter this type of work.
How much flexibility do you have in terms of dress, hours of work, vacation, etc.?
Have complete flexibility over dress, hours and vacation. Since you are basically your own boss.
What inspired you to choose your career?
Seeing his brother and father cutting hair, He wanted to do it too. Also he didn’t like the idea of working for someone else. So he decided he wanted to be his own boss.
What school(s) did you attend? Are there any schools you recommend?
Went to bakersfield barber college and he also recommends it. But in order to get in you need a high school diploma. He truly believe this is a great college
What was the most influential moment when you were in college?
Seeing a customer's face after giving them a hair cut. He says giving a smile to people is the best part about his job.
How has your career affected your life?
It has given him a chance to see how he is making a different. He believes he is helping people one haircut a time.
What advice do you have for a person aspiring to enter your career field?
It’s really hard to be do, and you need to put a lot of effort into it, especially going in to bakersfield barber college. However he says “it is worth it at the end.”
How did you get started in this field?
By his dad's encouragement, He wanted to follow in his footsteps and keep the family business going. His father and him work together cutting hair.
What opportunities for advancement are there for this field?
Hiring more barber and increasing his business, But other than that, there's not that many advancement.
